One day, a man was in line behind another man at the store. In the air, there was a beautiful aroma. He took a deep breath and figured out where the smell was coming from. “Excuse me, sir,” he said to the man in front of him, “but you smell like roses.”
The second man smiled and said, “Yes, I’m a florist. I stand in the flower shop all day, so I smell like the place where I hang out.”
What about you? What do you smell like?
Because if you’ve been in the presence of God, that aroma is going to rub off on you. 2 Corinthians 2:15 says, “For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” So, I ask again, what do you smell like?
2 Corinthians 2:15 says, “For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”
If you are in the presence of God on a regular basis, then His love is going to waft out of you like it was always meant to—a beautiful aroma that people can’t help but notice.
The question is: are you spending enough time with Him to let Him rub off on you?
